but you haven’t said a word.
It’s hidden in the silence,
of the things that go unheard.
I see it with your distance,
in the way you turn away,
I’ve felt our talks grow shorter,
with the things you’ve yet to say.
I see you out there smiling,
laughing like you always do.
But I've known you long enough to know,
this doesn’t feel like you.
Now maybe I’m overthinking,
and maybe everything is fine.
I know the way you carry yourself,
but something has changed with time.
I won’t force you to explain it.
or ask what you won’t share.
